Hi there!  I'm John Tewes, the owner of TBL Builds based in Mountainaire just outside of Flagstaff, AZ.  I've lived in Flagstaff since 2003 and my wife Sarah was born and raised here in town.

I started the business in 2009 focused on residential real estate development and construction.  I developed several properties over the years and countless smaller construction projects in the Flagstaff area along the way.

As I grew older and children continued to come I wanted to be home more with my family.  My wife Sarah and I have six children now, all girls!  Going to games at Flagstaff High School and pushing girls on the swing was more important than being gone all day.  I decided to do work that allowed me to be at home with my family on our beautiful two acre property nestled in the woods and still build with all the tools I love using.

My days of working as a general contractor are behind me now and I'm putting my passion for creating into building beautiful, well made redwood patio furniture.  We love sitting outside on our patio and I wanted others to enjoy sitting on the same furniture I built for us.  Building patio furniture allows me to be at home a lot more and never miss the Eagles triumph over their rivals.  Well, most of the time...
